Why Your Midjourney Logo Won't Print (And How to Fix It)

Why a Midjourney logo fails at print size
Midjourney is built to generate ideas fast, not to output production-ready files. A few specific gaps cause almost every printing problem people run into.
It's a raster file, not a vector
Midjourney outputs a fixed grid of pixels (a PNG or JPG). Printers, embroiderers, and sign shops need vector files (SVG, AI, EPS) that scale to any size without losing quality. A raster image can't do that, no matter how high the resolution.
The resolution is too low for print
Midjourney images typically export around 1024 to 2048 pixels wide. That's fine on a screen. At print size, on a business card, banner, or embroidery patch, that resolution stretches thin and turns blurry.
It's built for screens, not ink
Midjourney renders in RGB, the color model for screens. Printers use CMYK ink. Without a proper conversion, colors shift once they hit paper, often coming out duller or off-hue from what you saw on screen.
The "transparent" background usually isn't
AI tools rarely produce a true transparent cutout. You'll often get a checkerboard pattern baked into the image, or soft white fringing around the edges that shows up as a visible box on a colored background.
